Anesthesia/ESI | Pain Management- The Pain Clinic specializes in chronic pain management and pain procedures. A variety of pain services are available including medicine management for chronic pain. Provider, Matthew Bednarchik, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Specialist with Bloomfield Anesthesia Group specializes in chronic pain management and pain procedures.

Cardiology | Heart- A board-certified Interventional Cardiologist and an ARNP are now offering a full range of Cardiology services for the patients of Van Buren County Hospital. Providing a range of services for: hypertension, chest pains, coronary artery disease congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, plus more.

Child Health Specialty Clinic- Cheryl Jones, ARNP, CPNP, FAANP serves Iowa children and youth, birth through 21 years of age, who have, or are at risk of having, a special healthcare need. These special healthcare needs can include; chronic conditions like asthma or diabetes, behavioral or developmental disorders like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and more complex medical needs like spina bifida.

Dermatology | Skin- The University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics staffs our Dermatology clinic monthly on Saturday. General dermatology care of all types is provided.

Endocrinology | Hormones- Endocrinology is a medical specialty focused on diagnosing and treating conditions related to hormones and the endocrine system. This includes disorders such as diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and other hormone-related conditions that affect growth, metabolism, and overall health. VBCH endocrinology services are held via telehealth in Keosauqua.

ENT | Ear, Nose, & Throat- ENT services provide care and treatment for all ailments in and around the ears, nose, & throat, including: ringing in ears, inflamed sinuses, and hearing loss. Special procedures can be performed at VBCH, including endoscopic sinus, tonsillectomy, and adenoidectomy. Dr. Jennifer Berge is board-certified in Otolaryngology and has extensive training in ENT and meets all of the highest educational standards.

General Surgery- Dr. Ryan Roe, is a General Surgery Specialist. Dr. Roe’s practice focuses on gallbladders, upper and lower endoscopy (colonoscopies), hernias, hemorrhoids, and GI issues. Dr. Roe performs surgeries and sees clinic patients every Thursday.

Neurology | Brain & Nervous System- Dr. Khan specializes in carpel tunnel syndrome, epilepsy, stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, tremors, and other neurological disorders. He is board-certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, Stroke, Sleep, and Epilepsy. Dr. Khan is able to perform EMG’s on site at VBCH.

Orthopedics | Bone & Joints- VBCH provides our patients specialized orthopedic care for injuries and conditions of the elbow, hand, hip, knee, shoulder, ankle and wrist, as well as fracture care. We can offer joint replacement and revision, sports medicine care, and physical medicine and rehabilitation. Patients will be seen in the clinic setting for consultations and in-house surgical procedures can be performed.

Pediatric Dentistry-Darling Children’s Dentistry strives to provide high quality pediatric dental care in a safe and kid-friendly environment. We aim to not only help children tolerate dental visits but enjoy them! Our focus on fun and the unique need of each child helps relieve the anxiety of even the most fearful patient. At VBCH, our partnership with Dr. Darling offers a full line of dentistry services with sedation. This is important for patients who require extra care and attention.

Podiatry | Foot Care- Podiatry is able to treat conditions and disorders of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. At VBCH, the podiatrist is able to perform minor foot surgical procedures on site. Dr. Deborah A Holte, DPM, is a Podiatry specialist and holds board certification in the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Holte specializes in general podiatric care.

Pulmonology/Sleep | Lungs & Airway-Dr. Mohammad Jarbou offers treatments for many respiratory diseases and illnesses, including: COPD, bronchitis, pneumonia, respiratory failure, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary embolism, lung lesions, and more. Dr. Jarbou is board certified in pulmonary, internal, critical care, and sleep medicine as well as clinical informatics. Dr. Jarbou can perform sleep studies, PFT’s and a Bronchoscopy in the VBCH Surgical Suite.

Rheumatology | Joints & Musculoskeletal System- Dr. Robert Jackson & Libby Dassow, PA-C, provide rheumatology care for arthritis and other disorders of the joints, muscles, bones, and ligaments, as well as treatment for Fibromyalgia, Gout, and Lupus.

Tele-psych | Mental Health- Visits are held virtually with a Psychiatrist from the University of Iowa at the Keosauqua Clinic.

Urology | Bladder & Urinary Tract- Dr. Robert Remis is a Urology Specialist from Columbia, MO. He performs a number of surgeries including: cystoscopies, vasectomies, prostate, urethral, and bladder.  Dr. Remis sees patients at the Keosauqua Clinic twice a month.
