Furnace Repair and Replacement Program
First you must apply for Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). You will need:
- Documentation of Home Owner
- Age 60 and over or disabled
- Number in the household/home
- Type of dwelling
- Type of heating fuel
- Amount of Income - guidelines on the website or call the phone number
Warning: Funds for this service are limited, so those who meet the guidelines and are most in need will be served first.

- Christmas for Kids: Apply at the Keosauqua Sieda office. Must meet income guidelines.
- Child Development/Head Start: Center-based preschool meets (4) days per week, nutritious meals/snacks, health screenings, field trips, referrals, literacy/education needs, services/referrals for children with special needs, limited transportation provided. Must meet income guidelines or special needs criteria.
- Behavioral Health & Treatment Services
- Housing Stabilization Resource Center: Information & application for any Sieda program
including LiHEAP (heat assistance), weatherization, utility bill assistance, budget counseling. Includes information & referral to other service agencies. - FDSS (Family Development & Self-Sufficiency): a trained family development specialist works intensively with families to stabilize and assist them to become self-sufficient. Work is done in-home through regular visits. Tools used are assessments, goal setting activities, support, advocacy, group meetings, special needs assistance and referrals to community resources.
